"Internet" is the term of the millenium and has revolutionised the way we work and play.

To be able to enjoy the new medium while we are on the move, our German manufacturer and European market leader Ten-Haaft has created the unsurpassed Oyster Digital CI Internet.

It features the same proven technology and workmanship you know from the Oyster systems with added up- and downstream high speed internet access.

Unfortunately, the current Australian Satellite internet providers have different hardware requirements than in Europe. The BUCK, in layman's terms the "Internet enabled LNB" required by providers in Australia is much larger than the one for Europe and physically just does not fit into the Oyster's Skew unit.

We are hoping that the European Internet provider New Skies will eventually offer their services to Australia. This seems not unlikely at all as they already have a satellite in their fleet, that could take over this task...NSS6. As you can understand we are unable to estimate when or even if this will happen, but rest assured, we will be the first to know.

Either way, the good news is that even Oyster systems that are on the road today can be retrofitted to use the internet once a suitable provider for Australia becomes available! The Oyster system is an investment for the future. Please stay tuned.
